About Arthur

Arthur has been a professional artist since 2004 but has painted, sketched and drawn for most of his life.

In 2000, after 28 years working as a manager for Corus Steelworks in Scunthorpe, Arthur accepted a voluntary redundancy payout and early retirement. He used the money to fund a four-year Fine Arts degree at the University of Newcastle, and has been working as a professional artist since graduating.

Arthur has completed numerous private commissions and worked with public authorities across the UK. He is a director of Humber Arts and Senior Project Manager for the Fringe Arts Group, Doncaster.
